Daichi Suzuki swam at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and at the Seoul Olympic Games in 1988. In Seoul, he won a gold medal in the 100m backstroke, bringing a swimming gold medal to Japan for the first time in 16 years. After getting his degree from Juntendo University Graduate School, he became a visiting researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder, then a guest coach at Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. in medicine at Juntendo University in 2007, becoming a professor there in 2013. The same year, he became president of the Japan Swimming Federation and an executive board member of the Japanese Olympic Committee. He has been the commissioner of the Japan Sports Agency since October 2015. In October 2016, he became the vice president of the Asian Swimming Federation and, in July 2017, a member of the Bureau of the International Swimming Federation (FINA).
Dr. Masafumi Yoshimura

Dr. Masafumi Yoshimura is the Dean of Faculty of Health and Sports Science at the Juntendo University. He is also a well-known soccer coach, and has led the Juntendo soccer team as a head coach for a long time. He has contributed the bronze medal as a head coach for the 27th Universiade Games in Kazan, Russia in 2013. Currently, he engages in wide research related to soccer (ex. technique, physical fitness, strategy, and coaching). In addition, he is the executive director of Leven (NPO) that is working for promoting community sports and physical activity
